TUNE OF THE WEEK:
The Thrillseekers "Synaesthesia" (Neo)
Still at the from of my box. Every release is astonishing on this label and it just seems to be getting better. The first breakdown is massive and once it get going again there are a few reminders of it all the way to the end. Neo's page coming soon, see "James Machines" page on my links for a preview.
Moonman "Don't be afraid" (Heat)
2 mixes on this promo. The main one by Ferry Corsten is good, with a short breakdown and plenty of vocals. However I think there are too many vocals throughout and could do with a little more umph. The "Nylon mix" I the one for me. Pretty thumping and keeps the original rift with less vocals in it. I wish it all the best when it gets released, I certainly playing it.
BBE "7 days and one week" (Urban)
Well I was wondering when this might happen. A re-release. I expect a lot of people have forgotten how good this is. The remix sounds like its gonna be good at the start but looses it quickly and just does not have the power and soul of the original. Luckily there is a copy of the original on the b side as mine is worn out !!
Binary Finary "1999" (Positiva)
This is getting a bit silly really. The Paul Van Dyk mix is still the best. Why 1999 ? its still just a remix of 1998. Still, the Gouryella mix is not too bad. Kayvee's mix is just going completely the wrong way.
Spanish Fly "Sustain" (Whoop Promo)
This is another label which is doing well in my opinion at the moment. Nice long records full of progression and nice breakdowns. Very Sasha style music, but sometimes a bit slow.
Dominion "Ultraviolet" (Whoop)
No2 in Oakenfold's charts at the moment. Quite an anthemic tune. One side is a bit more bangin' than the other, well worth a listen.
All tracks available now. See my links to order them online.
